 Fr 10/2/26

8am (GB: 5/ Green Crack). 1255pm (2-B: Green Crack). 535pm (GB: 5/ Maui Wowie). 815pm (GB: 5/ Maui Wowie).

Up 645am: Partly cloudy with temps only to about 70.

I filled out my midterm ballot. I checked all of the judges for party affiliation and found only one Democrat (Allison Lorton) and voted 'No' to the rest.

Watched 'GENERAL MAYHEM: THE KILLING OF BRIGADIER J' (Netflix). A high ranking general in the national police force of Thailand claims that his wife was raped and their driver was the perp and was killed in a gun fight. Actually, the general had the driver/assistant executed because (1) the man was developing a relationship with the general's wife or (2) the man refused to remain silent about the general's corruption. The general was sentenced to death and his wife got 20 years for her role in the coverup. Later the Thai supreme court reduced the general's sentence to twenty years and dropped ten years from his wife's sentence. Clearly their criminal justice system and supreme court held a rich and powerful man to an entirely different standard. 'Justice, bought and paid for'.

Watched 'THE SEEMINGLY PERFECT FAMILY' (Netflix).  This is beneath a Lifetime movie, so moving on...

Finished 'THE PERFECT LIE' (Netflix). We see the back of a dark hooded figure with a red balloon who enters the hospital room of the woman who is waking up from a coma. This is where the season ends, so there will most likely be a second season. It just dropped in September, so they are waiting for how season #1 will be received and there is undoubtedly more to the story.

1240pm: The PC is 'Off' and the plan is to hit FitClub West and then to County Market for more apples.

105pm: To FitClub West...45"Treadmill, 45"Octane, 15"Recumbent Bike, 15"Precor...TWO HOURS;  watched documentary 'THE WIDOWER: TILL DEATH DO US PART' (Netflix)- A man had six ex wives and four are dead; began JOSH HOMME on RICK BEATO.

County Market: $5.00 apples

Reading HENRY THREADGILL autobiography 'EASILY SLIP INTO ANOTHER WORLD: A LIFE IN MUSIC'.

540pm: In the tub with 'EASILY SLIP INTO ANOTHER WORLD' and listening to HAWKWIND- 'Space Ritual'/ 'Quark'; PRETTY THINGS- 'EP Collection'.

More of the YouTube interview with STANLEY CLARKE.

More 'ELITE FORCE' (Netflix). I shut it down 8 minutes into episode #3. It's a military soap opera, but worth a look.

Th 10/2/25- WYNK

Th 10/2/25 8am (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse). 10am (1-B: Citrus Mac). 1220pm (2-LB: Citrus Mac). 535pm (1-LB: Citrus Mac). 810pm (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse).  Up 715am: {took a dump at 4am}. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80". From RogerEbert.com: "In its style, “Magpie” is a marital thriller with noir trappings galore, including an almost ridiculously convoluted (y...

Fr 10/3/25- Brandenburgs/ Gummy  735am (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse). 820am (3 hits-B: Citrus Mac).  1215pm [I took 1/3 of 'VIIA' 100 mg: 33 mg total].(1-LB: Citrus Mac).  240pm (4 hits-B: Diablo's Hearse). 435pm (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse). 530pm (1-LB: Citrus Mac). 815pm (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse).  Up 630am: Rain was "in the area", but missed Westview and more sunny & unseasonably warm weather with temps close to 90. {No rain in a long time & it's getting crunchy}  About 730am several 'tree trimming' trucks arrived and parked just down the street. I first thought that they were for the house across the street, but it looks like the action is farther down the road. They disappeared by 10am and I think they were at the house 'with the indoor whirlpool'.  Watched 'UPGRADE' (Netflix).  A very fine 'Dystopian/ SciFi' genre film about a couple in Melbourne ("in a not too distant future") who are in their 'auto...

Borrowed 'HOLY COW' and 'TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH' from Hoopla to meet my quota for September. Watched 'HOLY COW' (Hoopla). A troubled teen and his young sister try to make a go of it on their farmstead dairy after their father dies. It's got a strange tone and far from an average 'coming of age' tale. Set in far eastern France near the rural villages of Pimorin and Orgelet which are about 75 miles west of Geneva, Switzerland. "83" Metascore and I would go to "91".  Watched 'BEYOND TRAINSPOTTING: The World Of Irvine Welsh' (Kanopy). An excellent profile of t...
