 Mo 10/12/26

825am (GB: 5/ Green Crack). 915am {I took 1/4- VIIA 'Day Drift' 100 mg: 25 total}. 105pm (GB: 5/ Green Crack). 430pm (GB: 5/ Maui Wowie). 530pm (GB: 4/ Maui Wowie). 825pm (GB: 5/ Maui Wowie).

Up 730am: Partly sunny with record high temps almost to 90.

Watched 'HERETIC' (Kanopy). This is the kind of movie that will spark many philosophical conversations and more 'droll' than 'horror', but a very fun ride. Two Mormon teenage girls knock on the door of a man who seems interested, hospitable, and very knowledgeable about 'The Church of The Latter Day Saints'. He is not at all what he seems to be. Fun Theme: 'Simulation Hypothesis'- the concept that our physical world is an artificial, simulated construct rather than the absolute, fundamental reality. Maybe something along the lines of 'The Matrix' is the latest iteration of what is commonly believed to be 'Religion'. "71" Metascore and I would go to "85"; with Hugh Grant, Sophie Thatcher, Chloe East. RogerEbert.com- "It’s designed to quicken your pulse and your mind at the same time, which is too rare in genre filmmaking. It’s also gorgeously made, and wonderfully performed."

Watched 'NAZI COLLABORATORS' (Amazon Prime). 1) The story of Pierre Laval.  The Nazis attacked Denmark and Norway after they invaded Poland. Germany needed to protect their sea routes; 2) Mass execution of Jews in Latvia.

***Although I was watching Amazon Prime Video I was too chicken to see if 'Blinking' would return if I ran Amazon Prime Music and Amazon Prime at the same time. I'd like to continue 'NAZI COLLABORATORS' on the phone if the new download of the app works as advertised. {It did not}

1250pm:  The PC is 'Off' and preparing for a session on the treadmill.

110pm:  FIVE MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; watched 'MWMH'- 'Desert Trap'- A woman is murdered by her Marine lover in Joshua Tree; began MARK NORMAND on 'TYSO'.

Weights: 2 sets/  15 reps [barbell]

Reading 'OIL!'

435pm: TWO MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; more MARK NORMAND on 'TYSO'.

535pm:  In the tub with 'OIL!' and listening to JACK ABERCROMBIE Playlist; DEEP PURPLE- 'Come Taste The Band'.

Began a random comedy podcast with three large guys drinking beer- 'Great To Be Here'. Anybody who claims to be a comedian is not necessarily funny. This was so unfunny that it was painful to watch; and then more MARK NORMAND on 'TYSO' and Mark and Rick were like the antidote.

More 'THE MAN IN THE HIGH CASTLE' (Netflix). I shut it down 49 minutes into episode #4.

Th 10/2/25- WYNK

 Th 10/2/25 8am (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse). 10am (1-B: Citrus Mac). 1220pm (2-LB: Citrus Mac). 535pm (1-LB: Citrus Mac). 810pm (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse).  Up 715am: {took a dump at 4am}. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80". From RogerEbert.com: "In its style, “Magpie” is a marital thriller with noir trappings galore, including an almost ridiculously convoluted (y...

Fr 10/3/25- Brandenburgs/ Gummy

 Fr 10/3/25- Brandenburgs/ Gummy  735am (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse). 820am (3 hits-B: Citrus Mac).  1215pm [I took 1/3 of 'VIIA' 100 mg: 33 mg total].(1-LB: Citrus Mac).  240pm (4 hits-B: Diablo's Hearse). 435pm (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse). 530pm (1-LB: Citrus Mac). 815pm (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse).  Up 630am: Rain was "in the area", but missed Westview and more sunny & unseasonably warm weather with temps close to 90. {No rain in a long time & it's getting crunchy}  About 730am several 'tree trimming' trucks arrived and parked just down the street. I first thought that they were for the house across the street, but it looks like the action is farther down the road. They disappeared by 10am and I think they were at the house 'with the indoor whirlpool'.  Watched 'UPGRADE' (Netflix).  A very fine 'Dystopian/ SciFi' genre film about a couple in Melbourne ("in a not too distant future") who are in their 'auto...

Borrowed 'HOLY COW' and 'TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH' from Hoopla to meet my quota for September. Watched 'HOLY COW' (Hoopla). A troubled teen and his young sister try to make a go of it on their farmstead dairy after their father dies. It's got a strange tone and far from an average 'coming of age' tale. Set in far eastern France near the rural villages of Pimorin and Orgelet which are about 75 miles west of Geneva, Switzerland. "83" Metascore and I would go to "91".  Watched 'BEYOND TRAINSPOTTING: The World Of Irvine Welsh' (Kanopy). An excellent profile of t...
