 Sa 10/10/26

805am (GB: 5/ Maui Wowie). 9am (4-B: Green Crack). 1205pm (GB: 5/ Green Crack). 535pm (GB: 5/ Maui Wowie). 830pm (GB: 5/ Green Crack).

Up 710am: Mostly cloudy with temps to about 80.

Watched 'THREE' (Netflix). An anthology of three horror shorts from different Asian directors: Memories by Kim Jee-woon, The Wheel by Nonzee Nimibutr, and Going Home by Peter Chan. 1) A husband's wife has disappeared and he 'thinks something bad' has happened to her. Few words of dialogue, but some of the grisliest murder scenes I've ever seen. A difficult piece of filmmaking, but worth the effort.  2) 'Thai Puppets' vs. 'Masked Dancers'; total cultural immersion with backgrounds of jungles, rivers, and rural traditional stages in very rural Thailand.  3) A man and his three year old son stay in a desolate apartment building that is slated to be leveled. The man next door has strangled his wife who was dying of cancer. He " killed her so that he could revive her" without the tumors. Shot in the former Police Married Quarters in the Sheung Wan neighborhood of Hong Kong. Creepy to the max.

More 'THE MAN IN THE HIGH CASTLE' (Netflix). I shut it down 30 minutes into the first episode of season #2. PK Dick wasn't even given a writing credit for this season. It's still an interesting counter-espionage thriller based upon an 'idea' of PKD.

1150am: The PC is 'Off' and the plan is to workout at Planet Fitness and then do the grocery shopping.

***Green Crack delivery at 545pm...{actualy arrived closer to 2pm}

1215pm:  To Planet Fitness...45"Cross, 45"Treadmill, 20"Recumbent Bike, 25"Cross...TWO HOURS AND 15 MINUTES; watched 'ANIMALS' (Netflix)- A candidate for the mayor of LA is the victim of a botched kidnapping. They wanted his son but kidnapped the wrong boy. 'The Ransom Of Red Chief' this is not;         with.      ; more 'ARE YOU GARBAGE?.

To Schnucks: $79.00

Reading 'OIL!'

540pm:  In the tub with 'OIL!' and listening to JACK DEJOHNETTEPlaylist; JACK ABERCROMBIE Playlist; DEJOHNETTE/ THREADGILL- 'Made In Chicago- Jazz Fest.

Finished JERAMIAH WATKINS on 'ARE YOU GARBAGE?' and began H. FOLEY on 'The Wayback' with RYAN SICKLER.

More 'THE MAN IN THE HIGH CASTLE' (Netflix). I shut it down 34 minutes into episode #2.

Th 10/2/25- WYNK

 Th 10/2/25 8am (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse). 10am (1-B: Citrus Mac). 1220pm (2-LB: Citrus Mac). 535pm (1-LB: Citrus Mac). 810pm (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse).  Up 715am: {took a dump at 4am}. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80". From RogerEbert.com: "In its style, “Magpie” is a marital thriller with noir trappings galore, including an almost ridiculously convoluted (y...

Fr 10/3/25- Brandenburgs/ Gummy

 Fr 10/3/25- Brandenburgs/ Gummy  735am (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse). 820am (3 hits-B: Citrus Mac).  1215pm [I took 1/3 of 'VIIA' 100 mg: 33 mg total].(1-LB: Citrus Mac).  240pm (4 hits-B: Diablo's Hearse). 435pm (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse). 530pm (1-LB: Citrus Mac). 815pm (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse).  Up 630am: Rain was "in the area", but missed Westview and more sunny & unseasonably warm weather with temps close to 90. {No rain in a long time & it's getting crunchy}  About 730am several 'tree trimming' trucks arrived and parked just down the street. I first thought that they were for the house across the street, but it looks like the action is farther down the road. They disappeared by 10am and I think they were at the house 'with the indoor whirlpool'.  Watched 'UPGRADE' (Netflix).  A very fine 'Dystopian/ SciFi' genre film about a couple in Melbourne ("in a not too distant future") who are in their 'auto...

Borrowed 'HOLY COW' and 'TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH' from Hoopla to meet my quota for September. Watched 'HOLY COW' (Hoopla). A troubled teen and his young sister try to make a go of it on their farmstead dairy after their father dies. It's got a strange tone and far from an average 'coming of age' tale. Set in far eastern France near the rural villages of Pimorin and Orgelet which are about 75 miles west of Geneva, Switzerland. "83" Metascore and I would go to "91".  Watched 'BEYOND TRAINSPOTTING: The World Of Irvine Welsh' (Kanopy). An excellent profile of t...
