 Sa 10/3/26

8am (4-B: Maui Wowie). 1255pm (GB: 4/ Maui Wowie). 440pm (5-LB: Maui Wowie). 535pm (5-LB: Maui Wowie).

Up 710am: Bright & sunny with temps to low 70's.

Watched 'BOYHOOD' (Netflix- leaving soon). The film was ranked No. 3 on The Guardian's 2019 list of the top 100 films of the 21st century; with Patricia Arquette, Ethan Hawke, Ellar Coltrane (Mason), Lorelei Linklater (Samantha).  Filmed over a period of 12 years and began when Ellar Coltrane (Mason) was only six years old. The actress that played Samantha was Lorelei Linklater, Richard Linklater's (writer/director) daughter. Won 1 Oscar; 179 wins & 222 nominations. "100" Metascore. Six  Metascores of "100" and nothing lower than a "75". I would go to "99", nothing is perfect, but this one was damn close. Charlie Sexton is a guitarist and band leader who toured with Bob Dylan and played Ethan Hawke's roommate in the film. This was a beautiful movie from beginning to end.

Allmusic not allowing ez load to 'Playlist' from PC; no '3 dots' but appear on phone app & works fine. "The bugs are taking over".

Running late and very anxious about calling Joe. I have to get in touch before Monday afternoon's appointment. I have to make him 'the person to call if something goes wrong'.

1235pm: The PC is 'Off' and the plan is to hit the treadmill and then make a phone call to Joe. Began a 'MWMH' (Netflix) and I'll finish on the treadmill.

1pm: FIVE MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND ZERO SLANT;

Finished 'MWMH' (Netflix); watched an old 'TUESDAYS WITH STORIES'.

Reading (& not calling). I called at 325pm; no answer & no message...later or maybe an email tonight.

YouTube is not working. Why? When I get off the treadmill it works. Why?

445pm: TWO MILES AT 4.1 PACE AND ZERO SLANT; THEY TOOK OUR CHILD AND WE GOT HER BACK' (Amazon Prime)- A 13 year old girl in suburban Pittsburgh is kidnapped by an online sadist.

540pm:  In the tub with 'EASILY SLIP INTO ANOTHER WORLD' and listening to HORACE SILVER- 'Serenade To A Soul Sister'/ 'Blowing The Blues Away'; HOT TUNA- 'The Phosphorescent Rat'/ 'Hoppkorv'.

Began KEVIN & H. FOLEY on 'BAD FRIENDS'.

More 'ELITE FORCE' (Netflix). I shut it down 22 minutes into episode #4. During a terrorist bombing the special forces group was on the scene and the bad guy's daughter was killed in the blast. He blames GIGN and he's out for some vengeance. I think that's what's going on, yet regardless of the storyline, there's some fancy fisticuffs and reckless behavior with motorized vehicles.

Th 10/2/25- WYNK

 Th 10/2/25 8am (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse). 10am (1-B: Citrus Mac). 1220pm (2-LB: Citrus Mac). 535pm (1-LB: Citrus Mac). 810pm (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse).  Up 715am: {took a dump at 4am}. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80". From RogerEbert.com: "In its style, “Magpie” is a marital thriller with noir trappings galore, including an almost ridiculously convoluted (y...

Fr 10/3/25- Brandenburgs/ Gummy

 Fr 10/3/25- Brandenburgs/ Gummy  735am (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse). 820am (3 hits-B: Citrus Mac).  1215pm [I took 1/3 of 'VIIA' 100 mg: 33 mg total].(1-LB: Citrus Mac).  240pm (4 hits-B: Diablo's Hearse). 435pm (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse). 530pm (1-LB: Citrus Mac). 815pm (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse).  Up 630am: Rain was "in the area", but missed Westview and more sunny & unseasonably warm weather with temps close to 90. {No rain in a long time & it's getting crunchy}  About 730am several 'tree trimming' trucks arrived and parked just down the street. I first thought that they were for the house across the street, but it looks like the action is farther down the road. They disappeared by 10am and I think they were at the house 'with the indoor whirlpool'.  Watched 'UPGRADE' (Netflix).  A very fine 'Dystopian/ SciFi' genre film about a couple in Melbourne ("in a not too distant future") who are in their 'auto...

Borrowed 'HOLY COW' and 'TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH' from Hoopla to meet my quota for September. Watched 'HOLY COW' (Hoopla). A troubled teen and his young sister try to make a go of it on their farmstead dairy after their father dies. It's got a strange tone and far from an average 'coming of age' tale. Set in far eastern France near the rural villages of Pimorin and Orgelet which are about 75 miles west of Geneva, Switzerland. "83" Metascore and I would go to "91".  Watched 'BEYOND TRAINSPOTTING: The World Of Irvine Welsh' (Kanopy). An excellent profile of t...
