 We 10/21/26

8am {1/4 VIIA 'Day Drift' 100 mg 'the last one': 25 mg total}. 8am (GB: 5/ Green Crack). 1225pm (GB: 5/ Green Crack). 535pm (GB: 5/ Maui Wowie). 830pm (GB: 5/ Maui Wowie).

Up 710am: Bright & sunny with temps to mid 70's.

Watched 'RICH FLU' (Kanopy). A 'Hate The Rich' tale where a deadly virus affects  only the super rich. It destroys the world because nobody can trade, invest or sell because they might be considered 'rich' and risk dying of the new plague. In the epilogue the survivors revert to a 3rd world lifestyle where all things of worth are 'redistributed', but in the final scene it seems that possessiveness (greed ?) might have returned; with Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Timothy Spall, Rafe Spall (son of Timothy Spall). Very droll.

Watched 'NAZI COLLABORATORS' (Amazon Prime). In 1916 Ireland split into two separate nation states. Before the start of WWII The Irish Republican Army (IRA) made plans to assist the Nazis in an invasion of Northern Ireland. The plan failed, but Hitler supported their use of terrorist tactics against the British and although he wanted them to target military installations and leave the civilians alone. The use of terror to aid the Nazis is still a shameful subject for advocates of the IRA to this day.

1205pm:  The PC is 'Off' and the plan is to workout at Planet Fitness, buy eggs at Schnucks, and then go to Green for a car wash.

1235pm: To Planet Fitness... 45"Cross, 45"Treadmill, 20"Recumbent Bike, 25"Cross; finished 'THE PHARMACIST' (Netflix)- Their ideas on addiction are as helpful as putting out a fire with gasoline; began MARK NORMAND on NEAL BRENNAN.

To Schnucks: eggs & apples; car wash at Green

Finished 'OIL!' by Upton Sinclair;  it was long but well written, insightful & you see that some (big!) things haven't changed much in a hundred years.

I bought 'JACK BRUCE: COMPOSING HIMSELF' on Kindle for $9.00, but restarted 'EASILY SLIP INTO ANOTHER WORLD' by HENRY THREADGILL.

540pm: In the tub with 'EASILY SLIP INTO ANOTHER WORLD' and listening to JOE BONAMASSA- 'Had To Cry Today'; JOE COCKER- 'Sheffield Steel'; TOM TOM CLUB- '1st'/ 'Downtown Rockers'.

Finished MARK NORMAND on NEAL BRENNAN.

More 'INSIDE THE CIRCLE' (Netflix). I shut it down 12 minutes into episode #7. There's around 80 minutes left in the series and I could finish this tomorrow morning. I hope there is a valid resolution and not a cliffhanger.

Th 10/2/25- WYNK

Th 10/2/25 8am (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse). 10am (1-B: Citrus Mac). 1220pm (2-LB: Citrus Mac). 535pm (1-LB: Citrus Mac). 810pm (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse).  Up 715am: {took a dump at 4am}. Still unseasonably warm with a mix of sun & clouds. Watched 'MAGPIE' (Kanopy- borrowed 2 days ago).  It's basically a tale of 'Adultery & Revenge' although this isn't made clear until the last few minutes of the film. A wealthy couple live in a modern villa in the English countryside. He's a successful author, she is a housewife (she used to be in publishing) and their young daughter is co-starring in a big budget film that's being shot  near their home. Dad falls 'in lust' for the female star of the film, but his wife is several moves ahead. "69" Metascore and I would boost that to "80". From RogerEbert.com: "In its style, “Magpie” is a marital thriller with noir trappings galore, including an almost ridiculously convoluted (y...

Fr 10/3/25- Brandenburgs/ Gummy

Fr 10/3/25- Brandenburgs/ Gummy  735am (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse). 820am (3 hits-B: Citrus Mac).  1215pm [I took 1/3 of 'VIIA' 100 mg: 33 mg total].(1-LB: Citrus Mac).  240pm (4 hits-B: Diablo's Hearse). 435pm (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse). 530pm (1-LB: Citrus Mac). 815pm (1-LB: Diablo's Hearse).  Up 630am: Rain was "in the area", but missed Westview and more sunny & unseasonably warm weather with temps close to 90. {No rain in a long time & it's getting crunchy}  About 730am several 'tree trimming' trucks arrived and parked just down the street. I first thought that they were for the house across the street, but it looks like the action is farther down the road. They disappeared by 10am and I think they were at the house 'with the indoor whirlpool'.  Watched 'UPGRADE' (Netflix).  A very fine 'Dystopian/ SciFi' genre film about a couple in Melbourne ("in a not too distant future") who are in their 'auto...

Borrowed 'HOLY COW' and 'TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH' from Hoopla to meet my quota for September. Watched 'HOLY COW' (Hoopla). A troubled teen and his young sister try to make a go of it on their farmstead dairy after their father dies. It's got a strange tone and far from an average 'coming of age' tale. Set in far eastern France near the rural villages of Pimorin and Orgelet which are about 75 miles west of Geneva, Switzerland. "83" Metascore and I would go to "91".  Watched 'BEYOND TRAINSPOTTING: The World Of Irvine Welsh' (Kanopy). An excellent profile of t...
