He's an excellent nurse yet patients keep dying on his watch and he's been at nine hospitals in the last few years. He strikes up a friendship with another competent nurse and she begins to realize what he has been doing and reluctantly turns him in to the authorities. Based on a true story and Charles Cullen might have killed as many as 400 people. Watched 'THE DOMESTICS' (Hoopla).  After the US government launches a bio-attack on America, a couple from Minneapolis drive to Milwaukee. They must deal with violent gangs that control the highways and byways. A cut above the usual 'Post Apocalypse' genre films and the final battle takes place in a subdivision very similar to The Oaks; with Kate Boswell and Lance Reddick (THE WIRE, JOHN WICK). The film is set at a wedding party in rural Germany and residents at the local old age home 'take it to the streets'. The Message:  Old people have been suffering ill treatment and neglect from younger contemporaries, and now is the time to take their (very violent and bloody) revenge. Or, the film could mean that it's time to stop supporting these creepy old freaks that add nothing and only take from society. An interesting take on the 'zombie genre'.   Watched 'MURDER IN THE COVE' (Amazon Prime). A fifty minute True Crime about the murder of a young fisherman in Nova Scotia. This driver seems friendly, but  rapes and leaves her for dead. The detective on the case seems to be involved with the nun. The perp is brought back to the scene of the crime where the detective imagines that he's murdered the rapist. I got about an hour into the film and it stopped playing. A very English story of a British boarding school right before the beginning of WWII. All of the girls are family to the leaders of the third Reich and a British agent learns that the girls are to be evacuated.  He must get the word out that the war is about to begin. I'd have loved to see the end of this one; with Eddie Izzard, Judi Dench, and Jim Broadbent...'Hail Victory' is the translation of 'Sieg Heil'. ***Trimmed the beard Watched more of  'THE WATCHER' (Netflix). It's a Turkish Art Film about a young (underaged) woman who is forced into an arranged marriage and may (or may not) have killed her husband and mother in law.  The young woman is placed in a mental facility and her female therapist has a violent breakup with her lover when he discovers that she's found someone else. The message seems to be that women of  orthodox faiths have unsatisfying and troubled relationships, but so do women with a more free and modernistic outlook. The authorities are looking for a vaccine cure and they find a girl who is half mutant and half human (I guess). High tension throughout and although the film is somewhat positive,  it spells the end of mankind (I guess); with Sennia Nanua (Melanie), Paddy Considine, Gemma Arterton, and Glenn Close. Part II: A montage of whacky ideas and pronouncements about how society is riddled with hypocrisy. Part II: How the school and the parents deal with the situation. This section is divided into three hysterical and offensive scenarios. It's rated triple X because these ideas are not generally spoken about in polite society and this is why the film is so damn funny. Her husband calls the police, but goes solo and stumbles upon a local meth lab.  The film is a bit hard to swallow, but nonetheless, a compelling experience.
