Tu 10/31/17 HALLOWEEN

Tu 10/31/17 HALLOWEEN 330am-445am: Reading THE RED PRESIDENT and the smart phone about 'The Donald'; also learned that Jean Peters, the star of PICKUP ON SOUTH STREET, was once married to Howard Hughes. She was every bit as good as Widmark in the film. Up 5am; mid thirties early and temps to mid forties, yet sunny. Watched the last one hour episode of REDFERN NOW; punk dies of injuries while in police custody and black cop feels the guilt. 8am-930am- reading THE RED PRESDIENT on the couch. Bonus Feature PICKUP ON SOUTH STREET- 1015am. Sam Fuller was a very interesting guy and his insight into the making of the film was very helpful. Truly a movie that's more than a film without heroes-  none of the characters have any redeemable characteristics whatsoever, and this is just what Fuller wanted.  1130am Drove to Wabash PO to mail the disc and workout at Planet Fitness. 30" Walk. 3.5/0. 45" Recumbent Bike (THE RED PRESIDENT). 30" Cross. 30...

Mo 10/30/17

Mo 10/30/17 Last night was a bit excessive, but felt OK this morning. Up 630am and wrote up Jonathan Carroll's fantastic novel, AFTER SILENCE. I ordered two more of his books for a dime apiece on Amazon. 740am; Streaming THE MEYEROWITZ STORIES; a Netflix original. Great film with a star-studded cast, and very funny. "Where's the gourmet hummus"?..."Upstairs"..."...Why?????" "Does Jim stay overnight"? "No, he just eats dinner all night with Mommy upstairs and leaves in the morning". Ran the credits with a song by Randy Newman...perfect! 1020am- MEET THE TRUMPS- FROM IMMIGRANT TO PRESIDENT. How can this guy be the president of the United States?... Thanks, Russia! 1040AM- Dr. Ellison's office called to say that there was no fracture, but appears to be 'tendon irregularities'. Will set up an appointment with a specialist. 1230pm to FitClub. 30" Walk. 3.5/0. 45" Cannon (AVETTE BROTHERS;so glad t...

Su 10/29/17

Su 10/29/17 CABIN FEVER 2 was set in 'Springfield', but not nearly as good as the Eli Roth film. Ho hum and played more for laughs... Up 5am. Might even be some frost early; To crack 50 later, yet calm and pleasantly sunny. 6am- BLACK BUTTERFLY. Certainly an homage to Stephen King, yet still packs an unexpected punch. I loved/liked it! Reading RECONSTRUCTION 815am on the couch. I read a couple of chapter, and then switched to AFTER SILENCE and spend another two hours and read to the end. What a delightful book! I had read this before, but I really loved it this time! Will most definitely go on Janny's 'book pile'. 130pm I went outside to the front lamp and removed the old bulb and inserted the new bulb with the light sensor. No problem getting the top of the unit off- expected problems. And, much later I noticed that the light went on right at dusk. The energy use is almost not to be believed- only a couple of dollars a year to run. The curve in fro...

SA 10/28/2017

SA 10/28/2017 Last night I watched 'RAM DASS/ TIMOTHY LEARY- DYING TO KNOW'. A personal look at the founders of the 'Mind Expansion Movement of The Sixties' just before Leary 'dropped the mortal coil'. I can understand how anyone under the age of forty might have problems with this one.  Reading Smart Phone about Reconstruction and the book; 330am-430am. Up 5am. Today it's going to be cloudy and temps won't break the low 40's. Finished episode 3, season 2 (last one on the disc) of BILLIONS.  720am; began a Spanish film produced by Netflix called BOMB SCARED. While waiting for 'their call to action', a Spanish terrorist group changes direction and become home and commercial remodelers... Droll.  930am; reading AFTER SILENCE by Jonathan Carroll on the couch. 1130am drove to the Wabash PO to mail back the disc, and then on to LA Fitness. 30" Walk. 3.5/0. 45" Recumbent Bike (AFTER SILENCE).  45" Cross.  ...

Fr 10/27/17- Dick Van Dyke Installation

Fr 10/27/17- Dick Van Dyke Installation The first episode of Season 2, BILLIONS last night. In bed and reading COUNTERPARTS  by 830am. Finished the book between 3am-4am. Up 530am; Cold, cloudy, and blustery; temps won't crack fifty all day with a strong west wind. Watched Netflix disc, LA LA LAND. I liked this a whole lot more than I thought I would. It really lives up to the hype...magical. 840am- got the call from Dick Van Dyke that the installation will occur between 10am and 2pm. Watched second episode of BILLIONS- will save the last for tomorrow morning. Reading RECONSTRUCTION: THE CIVIL WAR on the chair in the living room. I probably read about fifty pages of this very interesting historical account. Turned the heat on for the first time this season; 64 degrees, and it kicked on many times. At 2pm I got a call from Dick Van Dyke that the tech would arrive within the hour. He rolled up in a cube van right at 230pm, and about ten minutes later another guy arrived ...

Th 10/26/2017- CAT Scan Day

CAT Scan Day Th 10/26/2017 Last night I didn't finish INCARNATE- '4 Beer Night'- Beautiful tattoo, yet stings; drained from the artistic endeavor.    Up 645am; Mid 30's but clear and crisp; to high 60's and windy. 720am- working on the PC, heard a 'boom', then the power was out. Came back on about 750am. That CD player in the kitchen is the most difficult unit to reset the time!! I am still clueless as to how to program several radio station and keep them. Read the book RECONSTRUCTION: THE ENDING OF THE CIVIL WAR until power was restored. Worrying about how in the hell I would get the garage door open to make today's 1245pm appointment at Memorial for the CAT scan- one of these days I'm going to have to learn how to manually raise the door.  930am finished with INCARNATE, then streamed CLOSED CIRCUIT. This was a film set in London that I'd seen not too long ago. A terrorist bomber had links to MI5 and this info cannot be know...

We 10/25/17- Black Moon/ Book Club

We 10/25/17 I CALLED HIM MORGAN wouldn't play (wonder why? Everything else worked), so I watched STICKY NOTES. Ray Liotta in one of his weaker roles; he's dying of cancer and convinces his 'wanna-be-LA-dancer-daughter' to come back to Florida and help him die. She does.....But, the last ten minutes redeem the film. The dancer's sister was actually all in her mind. 'Honey Bunny' was her father's impression of her when she was seven years old. I wondered what happened to this grade school girl when her father died- it was just ignored until the last ten minutes.  Only 35 degrees at 6am and temps won't get out of the high fifties; sunny. Reading in bed 2am-3am; about Gonzalo Lira, the author of COUNTERPARTS. The next novel, ACROBAT, is also about his character,Nicholas Denton, but Lira seems to have given up fiction and now covers the financial markets. He also had a career producing movies creating and video games. I checked out his writin...

Tu 10/24/2017- Tiger Plumbing No-Show

Tu 10/24/2017 Up 445am after a '4 Beer' night. High 40's early and rain forecast for later this morning. Watched THE DAY I MET EL CHAPO; Mexican soap star, Kate del Castillo talks about her meeting the the international drug lord (and Sean Penn's help/interference). 2 episodes, and then another MINDHUNTER. On the couch to read and wait for Tiger Plumbing to do the maintenance check on the furnace (appointment between 11am-1pm). Just after 1pm I got a call and they would be late. I told the guy to call me back if it would be much after 2pm. He called around two, and I decided that we'd try it again next Thursday at the same times. Wasted the lion's share of the fucking day waiting around. 2pm on the machines at FitClub. 30" Walk. 3.5/0. 45" Recumbent Bike. 45" Cross. 4 machines. 30" Old Style Cross. Whirlpool. The ankle is definitely getting worse, and I'm not doing nearly as much as I used to do. A cup of coffee a...

Mo 10/23/17

Mo 10/23/17 MIDDLE MAN was a fairly good Independent that starred, Jim O'Heir, one of the regulars on PARKS & RECREATION, but a new face to me. He plays a guy from Peoria, IL who travels west in a 1953 Oldsmobile to try to become a stand-up comedian in Las Vegas. He falls in with a man who becomes his manager and this guy is a mass killer. Some of the jokes are hilarious....Guy walks into a diner at breakfast time. The waitress asks, "What ya want"? He asks, "How're your eggs"?. She replies, "How're your sperm"? In bed by 9pm and only read for 20". Reading COUNTERPARTS 415am-5am; up 5am. Raw, gray, blustery, 50's. Watched YouTube biopic on Les Paul- (1'25"). Last night I was listening to a CD by Danny Gatton, UNFINISHED BUSINESS while making dinner, and this reminded me of Les Paul's guitar playing. Then I watched, OUT OF THIN AIR; a True Crime case from Iceland-1974 involving two missing men. Their murders are...

Su 10/22/17- REFRIGERATOR HEAL THYSELF!!!

Su 10/22/17 Last night I watched nine tenths of the movie (I'll have to give it another go from just after the middle) and then about thirty minutes of FREAKONOMICS (little recollection) during a beery rage/ righteous indignation (it was truly a performance worthy of 'the swearing guy' down the block). Slept till 730am and feel just fine, although any earlier and an IC unit would have been required. Low 60's and high 50's, rain and showers predicted for most of the day, but nothing yet (815am- still nothing at noon). 815am (no computer- direct to feature) Started FIGHT CLUB and finished the film just before noon. A true classic in every sense....so many quotes; the film's entry in IMDB is probably the longest I've seen, but why was Brad Pitt paid over three times as much as Ed Norton? Makes No sense At All- unless the answer is, 'Why Not?'. REFRIGERATOR HEAL THYSELF!!! Around 10am when I opened to fridge to prepare Buddy's 'quarter ...

Sa 10/121/17

Sa 10/121/17 Read COUNTERPARTS 330am-4am; Up 6am. Partly sunny, breezy, low 60's early- to mid 70's. Watched the last hour segment of OUTLANDERS, then MONEY- At a lavish country home, two business pals have sold their company's business secrets for two and half million. A stranger invades the house to 'rob the robbers'. Just before he leaves with the loot, one of the guy's wives has taken half of the money for herself. She tells her husband she's getting a divorce and leaving. Saul Bellow's novels are mentioned. Very odd. Not a bad film, but almost a student effort. On the couch to read COUNTERPARTS. 130pm biked to Wabash PO/ Planet Fitness. Dropped the disc in the box and on the machines by 2pm. 30" Walk. 3.5/0. 45" Recumbent Bike (COUNTERPARTS). 45" Cross. 30" Recumbent Bike (read). A few of the machines. I biked up the hill to the Dollar Store; I wanted to buy some peanut butter, but they apparently do not carry it. Why not? ...

Fr 10/20/17

Fr 10/20/17 330am; read for a bit (on the phone; plot of INFERNO... It's got to be one of Dan Brown's lamest tales, and the film was not any improvement), and more DESPERADOES. Out of bed 410am. Watched the rest of INFERNO. Ron Howard's, THE BEATLES- EIGHT DAYS A WEEK was great, but this was a complete turkey. Then, the third hour of OUTLANDER, and the last 45" of MR. DYNAMITE- THE RISE OF JAMES BROWN (dir. Alex Gibney). 9am done with the video; reading DESPERADOES on the couch.  About an hour later I got a call from Ellison's office telling me that I was anemic and that I might have a fracture, but they were going to see if my insurance would foot (pun intended!) the bill for a specialist. This gave me enough time to search the internet about causes and effects of anemia...."I'm gonna die". PS- around 430pm while on the Old Style Cross I got a call from Ellison's office that I did not have 'low iron anemia'; only a couple of de...

Th 10/19/17- Yearly checkup with Dr. Ellison, 1030am this morning

Th 10/19/17- Yearly checkup with Dr. Ellison, 1030am this morning. Last night I watched the first hour of OUTLANDER, then on the PC for some interviews with Ann Coulter and Camille Paglia (for no apparent reason). Up 5am; more sunny, seventies- just a couple of degrees warmer. Watched the second hour of OUTLANDER and then another episode of MINDHUNTER. And, finally, about 20" of the James Brown bio-pic that I began a couple of days ago; still 45" to the end.  Left for the appointment at 940am. I wanted to get there a bit early to check-in. They still had my old insurance, but we got sailing without any hassle.  Maybe fifteen minutes with the doctor. I've lost more weight- 147lbs (with shoes and clothes), and I lost five pounds since last visit. Blood pressure and all the other indicators were better than fine! I told the nurse about my right ankle and the doctor had questions. He set me up for an xray and some blood work. The muscle cramps might be a lack...

We 10/18/17

We 10/18/17 Slept through till five am; Crisp and sunny, temps to just crack 70. Watched a James Franco film called, IN DUBIOUS BATTLE. A very 'pro-union' film set in 1934. Apple orchard pickers find out wages have been cut to a dollar a day; "We ain't gonna take it no more". Star-studded cast- Vincent D'Onofrio/ Ed Harris/ Sam Sheppard/ John Savage/ and more. Then, ANNIHILATION- PATTON OSWALT; grief and guffaws in a live show from a Chicago theater. Not bad. Then, a pancake and a WOMEN BEHIND BARS; Woman tortures and murders her fourth husband with her new boyfriend. They toss the body off a creek bridge, 'so covered with maggots it looked like he was alive'. And, junkie on Chicago's north-side acts as a lookout as her addict boyfriend robs and stabs with a fourteen inch knife. On the couch I read a book from the collection about being on a jury and how you might vote, then on the bike to FitClub 115pm. 45" Walk. 3.6/0. 45" Recumbent...

Tu 10/17/2017

Tu 10/17/2017 CAR DOGS was a fantastic Independent and reminded me of the classic, GLENGARRY GLEN ROSS. CASINO and these two films deal with the foremost social and political trend in America today, and that is 'Greed'. However, it's never, never addressed- maybe a residual effect of Trumpism.  Up 4am and read DESPERADOES for about 45". Up around five to watch CUBE. Great 'Math Nerd' film, but less than satisfying ending. Then, COLD JUSTICE; 1987 young mother last seen at a Holiday Inn parking lot. Boss strangled her, dumped the body, and remains found 17 years later. DA brings charges in 2017, but perp died 7/217. Then, an episode of WHITE GOLD.  Reading DESPERADOES on the couch, and will go to 'Y' with a new route off of Old Jack- Archer/Barrington/Burgess.  New route was a toss-up. Didn't save much time because you can only go 25mph through the subdivision, but leaving the 'Y' it's probably quicker. Getting stuck at the light...

Mo 10/16/17- Verification That AON Coverage Is The Same in 2018

Mo 10/16/17 Read 330am- 430am BOTTOM LINER BLUES, K. C. Constantine and finished the book.  A very strange police novel, and I don't think I've read anything quite like it.  Although Mario Balzic, police chief of Rocksburg, Pennsylvania, is the protagonist of the novel, the book is far from a police procedural. It's really about the drastic change in economy of the area and how this grim and uncertain future affects the people who live there.  Up and on the PC at 5am; before sunrise the temperature was only 40 degrees, then sunny and cool, 60's- beautiful Fall day. Watched the last half of a MINDHUNTER and then another episode of this excellent series (took me awhile to get into it). Then, the last fifteen minutes of BABYSITTER, the film that I watched last night. Really not as good as I had hoped; a let-down, and not one of the better Netflix productions. Then, another episode of THE FIVE. About 9am I decided to give the Open Enrollment at AON Retiree ...

Su 10/15/17

2am- 330am checking Mel Gibson's history and more on The Reconstruction Era- 1863-1879. Up 615am.  A cold front moved thru last night, and not much rain fell, but the temps dropped dramatically- 20 or 30 degrees. Blustery, overcast, cold and damp- low 60's, but felt much colder. Watched the last two hours of CASINO and The Bonus Features. I realized that the reason I got this film was that I thought this was a film with Kevin Corrigan, but his picture with Scorsese was THE DEPARTED- That one is now in the queue. However, I really loved CASINO and it's one of the films that Marc Maron says that you should watch every year or so; I completely agree! GOOD FELLOWS is also in the queue.  Then, I watched the next episode of MINDHUNTER- featured serial killer Edmund  Kemper (actor looked just like the real killer)- went to FitClub with 25" left to go. Read for an hour, OUTLANDER, then drove to FitClub 1130am. Dropped the disc at the box near Fairway/Monroe. 45...

Sa 10/14/17

Sa 10/14/2017 I Watched the remaining two and a half hours of BRAVEHEART. A fine film, but Gibson sure does love that violent crucifixion jazz. Watched the Bonus Features, and right before I got on the bike to head downtown 'Computer Disaster' struck.... I ran a disc clean on the living room PC, and suddenly I get a message- AFTER I HAD TURNED OFF THE COMPUTER- that  said, "DO NOT TURN OFF YOUR COMPUTER". It was apparently searching for Updates (no reason) and it seemed to be just chasing its' tail. Finally, I just let the mother run. 1245pm- Biked downtown to pick up three cds that I'd ordered from the library and dropped off the disc at the Monroe PO. Wash Pk/Allen/8th- 3 cds- 4th North to Eastman/North Grand West to Johnson Ln/Churchill/Durkin- just about an hour and a half ride. 30" Walk. 3.6/0. 45" Recumbent Bike. 45" Cross. Legs/Chest/Biceps. 30" Bike. Whirlpool (Right arm out of the stew)/ Shower Only. When I got home, the ...

Fr 10/13/17

Fr 10/13/2017 Read 50 pages of OUTLANDER 4am-445am; Up at five. Another dreary, mostly cloudy day, but a bit warmer. Temps to hit the mid 70's, and by early afternoon there wasn't a cloud in the sky; a bit of a breeze from the south. Watched an interesting British film called ANTI-SOCIAL. A graffiti artist gets tangled up in the 'smash and grab' world of gangs, jewelry theft, and fast motorcycles in urban London. Then, episode #1 of MIND HUNTER. Called 'Your Benefits' to get some more forms. No need right now, but I'll be seeing Ellison in a week.  Read OUTLANDER on the couch for about an hour. 1215pm biked to Planet Fitness. 45" Walk. 3.6/0. 45" Recumbent Bike (OUTLANDER). 45" Cross. 30" Bike. 30" Cross. Home to shower and I used the water pik to try to clear some of the wax out of my right ear- limited success.  Read BOTTOM FEEDER BLUES for 45" downstairs (Live Pearl Jam; WXRT Live Series. BRAVEHEART and CASI...

Th 10/12/2017- Purchased Oven/Microwave Combo; Dick Van Dyke's

Th 10/12/2017 Read OUTLANDER 4am-5am, then up. Another cool and gloomy day- sixties and cloudy- periods of mist. Watched the last hour and a half of JACKIE BROWN. A long film, but a great film. I know I have RUM PUNCH by Elmore Leonard, and whenever I find it, it's Number One on my reading list! Then, another episode of COLD JUSTICE. 8am- Adam, the tech from Dick Van Dyke called to tell me that the new motherboard is THIRTEEN-HUNDRED-FUCKING-DOLLARS! And, even he recommended that I get a replacement oven/microwave. I'm going to Lowe's and Menard's first, and then to Van Dyke's. Also, the tea kettle is in at Walmart. 1145am- Off to Lowe's, Walmart, Menard's, Dick Van Dyke's, and then, the 'Y'; maybe do the grocery shopping if not too bummed. Here's The Wrap- At Lowe's they (a female clerk) were very helpful. She made me a printout of two options with prices and gave me an idea of how they will fit in the cabinets. She encouraged...

We 10/11/17- Dick Van Dyke Day

We 10/11/17- Dick Van Dyke Day Last night I was sure glad that the mailman tramped through the gloom and delivered SMASHED. Although I got it because of Aaron Paul, his co-star, Mary Elizabeth Winstead absolutely stole the show! The film was nominated for numerous awards, but received none. Further reading revealed that this was because of a dunderhead-ed release schedule. Coulda' been a contender!! Raw, breezy, chilly, misty- 60's all day. Read BOTTOM LINE BLUES; 3am-430am; then slept till seven, and watched a Korean film, PANDORA. Kind of an over-the-top disaster film in which a nuclear reactor is damaged during an earthquake and a meltdown could lead to an explosion. Many men, and one man especially, gave their lives to save the nation- much wailing and weeping ensues. Over two hours and much could have been deleted. 11am I got a call that the tech would be in between 1pm and 4pm. I decided to walk to the postal box near Fairway and mail back SMASHED. 20" walk a...

Tu 10/10/17- Dentist Check-Up

Tu 10/10/17  Dentist Check-Up Last night I watched a Netflix biopic of Lady GaGa called GAGA: FIVE FOOT TWO. Just listened to some of her stuff on YouTube and I liked the film more than her music. She's a pleasing personality with a supportive entourage, and very much one of 'the entitled'. In the end, I guess she's more 'artist' than 'hype', but just by a fraction. Spent some time checking how she broke her hip; seems to have a problem with chronic pain, and although not an addict, drugs were a factor in her career. This phase might have been of interest to many (me!).   Fairly violent storms very early- Later mild temps- low 70's and periods of fairly heavy showers.....read OUTLANDER 3am-4am and up at six. Watching REDFERN NOW 'Sweet Spot' (fifth in a series of six). Left at 945am for the ten am appointment. Done in under an hour and I only saw the hygienist- no dentist. The cheerleader split back to Indianapolis, but I st...

Mo 10/9/17

Mo 10/9/17 Up 5am; no reading, but just wanted to get up. Another excruciating cramp during the night and right foot/ankle is now a definite problem. Foggy and overcast until noon, then mostly sunny and 80ish. Not bad.  Watched CARRIE PILBY. A nineteen year old genius living in NYC tries to get her love life in order. Again a problematic script, but the actress who played Carrie, more or less, pulled it off. Shot in NYC during Xmas season 2016. In the Trivia it said that this saved on having to decorate the sets for Christmas. Then watched THE SEVEN FIVE. The seventy-fifth precinct of east New York City during the 1980', and two of it's most corrupt cops- Mike Dowd and Ken Eurell. These two guys worked with drug dealers and made millions for the gangs and skimmed tens of thousands for themselves. I'm surprised that both of them are not still in jail.  About 1145am I hit the flower beds and did a little raking. Many more pine cones than last year. I think that I...

Su 10/8/2017

Su 10/8/2017 Last night I watched a documentary about an influential NYC gay activist/ drag queen called THE DEATH AND LIFE OF MARSHA P. JOHNSON. A kind of True Crime/ Who Did It? and there was really no completely satisfying resolution to the film. It seems that he/she was probably chased out onto a deserted NY city pier, part of the floor collapsed, and he drowned. The slant was that it was a police cover-up, but after the abbreviated autopsy report is presented, it appears that they did suspect homicide, but suicide could not be completely ruled out.  Read OUTLANDER on and off, beginning around three am; up 6am. Watched a very well-done Australian film called BOYS IN THE TREES. Set on Halloween night and concerned a group of high school boys on the cusp between childhood and young adulthood. A large homoerotic subtext and centered on two of the boys who used to be close friends, but grew apart. The hook is that one of these boys had committed suicide and it's not re...

Sa 10/7/17- Bo's Birthday Bash

Sa 10/7/2017 Up 610am; reading the news on my phone early (for no discernable reason). Periods of rain on and off for the last 36 hours, and rain is still in the forecast. Looks like the biggest downpour is expected right when Bo's party is to begin at 1pm. Last night I watched just an hour of BONE TOMAHAWK, and then did another episode of COLD JUSTICE. I noticed that they've picked up the new edition of this series and it's aimed at sexual crimes. Can't wait.  Made a fifteen dollar donation to Jamie Fund 127 via PayPal, and noticed that the account was tied to an unused card; updated the information Watched the last hour and 45" of BONE TOMAHAWK and Bonus Features- interesting interview with some of the cast and the director, and a fairly interesting MAKING OF. 1020am Drove to Planet Fitness and mailed back the disc at Wabash PO. 30" Walk. 3.6/0. Right ankle is causing problems and I'm beginning to wonder if I can make it to my ap...

Fr 10/6/2017

Fr 10/6/2017 Awake at 415am and read OUTLANDER till five. Another rainy, warm, and gloomy day. It's predicted that we'll get another half inch of rain.  Watched a film called LONG NIGHTS SHORT MORNINGS. A detailed look at a young man's dating habits. He and a half dozen women look for love/connection. Nothing about them but their encounter- nothing about family, friends, or jobs, but I guess the lack of information was part of the plan. Not bad; then another episode of the Harlan Coben mystery, THE FIVE. Read/napped on the couch for a couple of hours- I'm really liking OUTLANDER, but I don't think I'm down for the next eight large books in the series, yet I'm very interested in the television series.  1245pm drove to the Wabash PO/ Planet Fitness and made the noon drop-off deadline. One Hour Walk. 3.6/0. 45" Recumbent Bike (OUTLANDER). 45" Cross (Yesterday 'Cheeto In Chief' made the idiotic comment, "Calm before the st...

Th 10/5/17

Th 10/5/2017 I'm really lovin' the tattoo and there seems to be no problems with excess bleeding or any other negative issues. However, my entire right forearm is somewhat swollen, but I'm sure that is to be expected- 2 hours plus under the needle.  Last night was a restless one- a leg cramp forced me to jump out of a deep sleep and hit the deck. It hurt so bad I almost puked, but the pain leaves almost as soon as my instep makes solid contact with the floor. No reading, but it seemed like I was awake every ninety minutes; up 645am. Heavy showers began when I got up, and rain is forecast for most of the morning. Watched WHAT HAPPENED TO MONDAY, a Netflix production.  Spent a half hour watching videos of 'bump stock modifications' and videos of the Vegas shooting posted on Youtube. Many clips seem to be trying to link the shooter to anti-fascists, and they seem to be designed to make you see American White Supremacists as 'the good guys...

We 10/4/17- TATTOO DAY

We 10/4/17  TATTOO DAY Up 415am and read OUTLANDER till five. Watched an English film set in Ibiza called WHITE ISLAND. Wild Life vs. Straight Life played out in a sunny vacation island off the coast of Spain- Drugs, DJ's, and Gangsters. Ho-Hum....Then, another episode of THE FIVE (just realized that this particular title should never, ever be confused with that show with the trained monkeys on Fox News). 1015am ran outside in a pretty steady drizzle, but it was in the mid to upper 70's and felt fine. Lynn/Oak/Green- 34". Showers and gloomy all day- temps 70's. I arrived at BLACK MOON a few minutes early and two other clients were waiting for the other artist, Benny. Kevin said that there were four artists working out of the studio. He was watching crazy videos on Youtube- people being gored by bulls, drunks buying beer, and the world's laziest construction worker.  He positioned me face down on a flat recliner and this is how I had to stay for...
