Fr 11/30/18 Up 815am; late night in the chair. Mostly sunny, calm, temps to mid 40's. Watched Netflix disc, 'KISSES' Two Irish kids run away from abusive homes in Tallaght and try to start fresh on the streets of Dublin during the Xmas season- Grim, yet sweet. Finished reading 'LET IT BLEED'- Ian Rankin and began 'A CONFEDERACY OF DUNCES'- John Kennedy Toole. 2pm- to Planet Fitness. 45" Walk (THIRTEEN). 45" Recumbent Bike (THE CONFEDERACY OF DUNCES/ Cream). 45" Cross (THIRTEEN- 2 episodes today). 45" Bike (THIRTEEN/ read Toole). 30" Cross (THE GIRLFRIEND EXPERIENCE). Oprah Winfrey Controversy'- A MILLION PIECES.  Then a little of an interview with Graham Parker, and finally some THE KOMINSKY METHOD, and then the beginning of  '...

Th 11/29/18

Th 11/29/18 Up 7am; Mostly cloudy to low 40's. Watched 'HOSTILES'- Netflix (Rosamund Pike/ Christian Bale). Set in the Wild West of 1893, an army officer on the eve of retirement is forced to relocate an old Indian chief and a few of his family members from New Mexico to Montana. The chief had spent many years in jail and he had received a pardon from the president so that he could return to his homeland to die. They meet a young woman whose family was slaughtered by a roving Indian band and she joins the caravan. Then an episode of 'SEARCH FOR JUSTICE'- The documentary was about Ronald Dalton, a man from Newfoundland who 1n 1989 was convicted of strangling his wife, but really she had chocked to death on some cereal. He served twelve years in prison because an emergency room doctor intubated his wife incorrectly, and the coroner who ruled that the death was a homicide had no training in forensics; "It happened to me, it could happen to you". Readi...

We 11/28/18- Contemporary Book Club at Six

We 11/28/18- Contemporary Book Club at Six Up 7am; single digits early, partly sunny and not quite to freezing. Watched 'BLUE STEEL' (Amazon Prime) Jamie Lee Curtis and Ron Silver square off on the means streets of NYC- she's a rookie cop and he's a commodity broker turned serial killer. A moronic premise, but suavely executed; Kathryn Bigelow directs. Watched part of a Youtube documentary about 'The King of Cannabis'- a pot entrepreneur from Amsterdam searches the globe for new strains of cannabis. 1045am- rereading 'A SPOOL OF BLUE THREAD'. 1239pm on the road to the 'Y'. 45" Walk (THE SINNER). 45" Recumbent Bike (read Anne Tyler/ The Flaming Lips). 45" Cross (THE SINNER). 45" Bike (read/ music). 45" Cross (THE SINNER); 3hrs. 45" Workout. Tu 11/27/18- 1st Visit To Urologist

Tu 11/27/18- 1st Visit To Urologist Up 7am; frigid, partly cloudy, trace of snow in the morning- temps only in the teens to low 20's all day. Watched 'ORANGE COUNTY' (Amazon Prime) Star-studded comedy about a kid from Orange County, California who wants to get into Stanford and become a writer. The whole cast was great and Catherine O'Hara and Jack Black were terrific. Then episode #1 of SEASON TWO, 'MR. ROBOT'. Just as good as the first season, and the 'David Lynch Type' weirdness works- not overwhelming like 'TWIN PEAKS 2'. I'm super freaked for this afternoon's appointment, and I don't have the slightest idea of what to expect or what will be required. It might be routine event, or it might be the start of a new chapter in my life- when it all turns to shit. Learned that Agnes Fenner is a Family Nurse Practitioner and it looks like Joe's doctor, Dr. Severino, is the 'big gun' of the department. Maybe this is a...

Mo 11/26/18

Mo 11/26/18 Up 645am; about two inches of snow fell last night and it won't get out of the mid 20's all day so no melting. Cloudy all day with a 15-20 mph wind from the NW. Watched some 'Getting Doug With High' and got into Abdullah Saeed's 'Bong Appetit'. I was surprised to learn how pot can be infused with almost anything edible. He demonstrates how to add marijuana to everything from fish to ice cream and it makes for a very enjoyable podcast Then, 'SHIRKERS' (Netflix). In 1992 Sandi Tan and a group of fellow Singapore film students make a film called 'SHIRKERS'. George Cardona, their teacher and film director, absconds with the tapes and they're not recovered for 25 years. This documentary is about the making of that film and the strange, dark, and enigmatic nature of George Cardona, the man that lied to all of them. I loved this documentary, and it won at Sundance in 2018. Then, two episodes of 'ORPHAN BLACK'; Clones ...

Su 11/25/18

Su 11/25/18 Up 720am; overcast, rain for this afternoon and tonight- 40's. Downloaded 'SOULSVILLE SINGS MOTOWN'(Hoopla) and then watched 'ARIZONA' on Hoopla. I loved the film; the funniest bits and gags I've seen in a long time. Seth Rogen and Danny McBride's interaction was one of the funniest- Reference to the folktale of the guy who trades his cow for the magic beans. Watched a lot of it again and then watched the cast interview at Sundance. Watched the first episode of 'THE SINNER' (Netflix) Jessica Biel/ Bill Pullman. I downloaded the next three episodes to the phone. I dropped 'TWIN PEAKS'- too odd, and 'DESIGNATED SURVIVOR'- too familiar. 1pm- the weekly cleaning. 3pm on the machines at Planet Fitness. Moderate rain all afternoon, chilly, and a chance for an inch or two of snow late tonight. 45" Walk (THE SINNER). 45" Recumbent Bike (began a John Rebus- Ian Rankin- novel;' LET IT BLEED'/ "SOULSVIL...

Sa 11/24/18

Sa 11/24/18 Slept until 820am!!! Sunny, breezy, to mid 50's. Watched 'POLYTECHNIQUE' (Amazon Prime) I had thought that this was a French Canadian film, but it wasn't, and it concerned the Montreal Massacre of December 6, 1989. An 'anti-feminist' armed with a semiautomatic rifle and a hunting knife entered a Canadian college and shot 28 people, killing 14 women, before committing suicide. He targeted a mechanical engineering classroom because some of these students were women. He separated the class by sex, and then shot down all of the women. Although the film is only 77 minutes, it's a harrowing and absorbing work; Denis Villeneuve (dir.) also did 'BLADE RUNNER 2049'. Messed around on the PC, began 'THE LITTLE DRUMMER GIRL' on Xfinity (AMC), but the jerkiness was unacceptable. Reading 'THE WHISPERER' 1215pm, and on the machines at the 'Y' by 2pm. 45" Walk (Reality TV all workout). 45" Recumbent Bike (THE WH...

Fr 11/23/18

Fr 11/23/18 Up 7am; cloudy, breezy, rain predicted for later this afternoon; 40's. Watched Netflix disc, 'SAUSAGE PARTY'. 'The Afterlife' in cartoon form as seen from the perspective of items in the grocery store; profane, salacious, yet kinda moving. 945am; listened to a strange radio tape that Chris made "94.1 FM; odd music and a guy that would call into Christian radio talk shows and pull their legs??",reading (chair/ couch) Anne Tyler and finished 'A SPOOL OF BLUE THREAD' and began 'THE WHISTLER'- John Grisham; a novel that Janny loaned me yesterday. 215pm to Wabash PO to mail the disc and Planet Fitness. 45" Walk (THE GIRLFRIEND EXPERIENCE). 45" Recumbent Bike (D. Bowie/ THE WHISTLER). 45" Cross (THE G.E./ TWIN PEAKS). 45" Bike (TWIN PEAKS/ read). 30" Cross (THE G.E). Home to soak and listen to 80's Electric Music Compilation that Chris made/ more John Grisham. Some Xfinity for tonight on the PC ...

Th 11/22/18- THANKSGIVING at 2pm

Th 11/22/18- THANKSGIVING at 2pm Up 730am; bright and sunny- temps to about 50. Watched Netflix disc, 'L'AMOUR'; An old Parisian couple cope with her declining health. Brilliant, yet very depressing; with Isabelle Huppert. Began, 'THE CREEPY LINE' (Amazon Prime) An eye-opening documentary that makes clear the unbelievable influence of Internet platforms like Google and Facebook. Listened to Terry Gross's interview with Rami Malek. 1130am- played with the leaves on the front lawn, and filled five bags. The gutter is clear and the bulk of the front lawn looks good; nothing done to the side of the lawn next to the driveway. In the house and ironing a shirt and on the road to The Brandenburgs by 130pm. Dropped the disc at the Monroe PO box. Just Joe, Janny, and I. Had I not shown up, this would have been the first Thanksgiving since the boys were born that they spent it alone. We had a nice meal and I left before five pm. The carpet in the family room r...

We 11/21/18

We 11/21/18 Up 720am; sunny and temps to mid 40's. I noticed that I hadn't written up 'PURE' for the blog, so I added that book and 'ZAP GUN' that I finished yesterday. Watched 'WAR ON EVERYONE' (Netflix- I've got to trim the fat from my stream-able queue). The quirky dialog of the film makes it a biting satire mixed with elements of Quentin Tarantino and succeeds more or less. Two Albuquerque cops do whatever they want and even flee to Iceland to recoup a million bucks; satisfying, yet silly- or the other way around. Watched the last hour of 'THE BALLAD OF BILLY SCRUGGS'; The Cohen Bros. Six tales and the're all good! My fave is where Zoe Kazan shoots herself in the forehead when she thinks that Indians will rape her- or worse. I downloaded a new show on Xfinity, 'The Girlfriend Experience'; executive produced by Steven Soderbergh. The young women are more than call girls or regular prostitutes because they not only sat...

Tu 11/20/18

Tu 11/20/18 Up 730am; sunny and cold; temps only to low thirties. Watched 'THE BALLAD OF BUSTER SCRUGGS' (Netflix). Watched three of the six stories; whimsical and very well-done. Watched the next two episodes of 'DAMNATION' (Netflix) 'The Strikers' and 'The Powers That Be' square off in fierce mortal combat. 1130am; reading 'ZAP GUN' and finished the book, and then read some short stories by JG Ballard. Noteworthy: washed up guy in south America runs into an imposter who claims to be a US astronaut and bilks the tourists. When he dies, the washed up guy takes his place. 205pm on the machines at LA Fitness. 45" Walk (WANDERLUST). 45" Recumbent Bike (Soundgarden guy/ began 'A BLUE SPOOL OF THREAD'). 45" Cross (The last WANDERLUST; terrific story and the ending was perfect- no love relationship is perfect, and there's always doubts and new challenges). 45" Bike (read/ WANDERLUST). 30" Cross (BOJACK HORS...

Mo 11/19/18

Mo 11/19/18 Up 740am; another dreary, cold, and raw day with temps to the upper thirties. Watched 'CAM' (Netflix) Set in the online, pay-for-view, sex-cam world of the Internet, the film provides a provocative exploration of just how important 'online persona' has become. A young woman hosts an online sex show for 'hits and tokens' (convertible to money) and finds that her doppleganger has hijacked the show. How this happened is none to clear- ghosts? technical glitch?, but the movie is a compelling and fascinating psychological drama from start to finish. Wrote the Chat Wrap, then the first two episodes of 'DAMNATION' (Netflix). Violent strikers and strike- breakers in Iowa of the 1930's with 'Warrior Jesus' in the mix; excellent! 215pm to the 'Y'. 45" Walk (Reality TV all workout). 45" Recumbent Bike. 45" Cross. 45" Bike. 30" Cross. Home to soak, more 'ZAP GUN', and a tape of 'Swagalicio...

Su 11/18/18

Su 11/18/18 Up 730am; more raw, cold, cloudy, and damp weather with temps in the 30's- getting very redundant. Light snow showers this morning, but nothing stuck. Watched the last twenty minutes of 'BLUE JAY'. Satisfying ending in that things are left up in the air between the two lovers. I vote that she goes back to her more sedate and settled life and he grows the fuck up. Watched 'ANOTHER 48 HOURS' (Amazon Prime)  Walter Hill directs, and another stunning scene where two motorcyclists jump through a movie screen between a woman's breasts. Maybe better than the horses through the window scene in 'THE LONG RYDERS'. Murphy's the heart and soul of the film- engaging, funny, and whiplash smart. Then, episode #3 of 'GET SHORTY'. Reading 1240pm, 'ZAP GUN'; will do the cleaning and then to Planet Fitness, and left at 230pm. 45" Walk (WANDERLUST). 45" Recumbent Bike (ZAP GUN/ guy from SOUNDGARDEN- Hoopla). 45" Cros...

Sa 11/17/18

Sa 11/17/18 Up 715am; cloudy, damp, raw, and thirties with rain or snow predicted for tonight. Wrote up 'I AM ALIVE AND YOU ARE DEAD' by Emmanuel Carrere for the blog. Watched Netflix disc, 'BILLY LYNN'S LONG HALFTIME WALK'. A superior character study of young men who have been elevated to the status of 'American Warriors', but they're really just kids who happened to be placed in an adverse situation and handled it to the best of their abilities. After the experience of War,  they've lost their place in 'the real world', and 'the real world' doesn't understand them either. Steve Martin and Vin Diesel in the same movie? Watched a Youtube film (55") called, 'PHILIP K. DICK- A DAY IN THE AFTERLIFE'. Sections of his novels were read and interviews with several of his wives; with Thomas Disch,  Paul Williams, Brain Aldiss, Tim Powers, and even Elvis Costello. The film examines Phil's search for the essence of ...

Fr 11/16/18

Fr 11/16/18 Up 7am;  raw, cloudy, and temps to upper thirties and not as much melting as one would expect. Watched Netflix disc, 'THE CUT'. The breakup of the Ottoman Empire during WWI causes a blacksmith to become separated from his twin daughters. He tracks them across Europe, to Cuba, and then finds one in rural Minnesota. Received a call from Memorial Medical and I have a 'consultation appointment' with Dr. Angie Fenner at 800 No. 1st; Springfield Clinic- 2nd floor (Urology) 4pm Tuesday, Nov.27th Janny texted that we had another adventure on Paradise Lane- He almost folded himself in half while using his bed controls- Would have made for a hilarious accident report, or even a better 'cause of death'. Watched the first episode of 'HANNIBAL' (Amazon Prime) Downloaded #2 for later. Dropped the disc at the Wabash PO, checked for boots at Carnival Shoe store; nada. Then, to  Walmart for the Tamsulosin, , bought an electric blanket- $30, deposi...

Th 11/15/18- First Heavy Snow Of The Season

Th 11/15/18- First Heavy Snow Of The Season Up 630am; Already three or four inches of snow has fallen and it's coming down quite hard. Watched 'DARK BLUE' (Amazon Prime) Kurt Russell plays a corrupt cop on the eve of the Rodney King riots; screenplay by James Ellroy. 1020am- shovel the walks and driveway, and done in about twenty minutes. Of course, Westview hasn't been plowed, and it could get bad later this evening when it all re-freezes. Watched the first episode of 'WANDERLUST' (Toni Collette). Crimson). 45" Cross (MISSING). 45" Bike (reading/ video). 30...

We 11/14/18- Yearly Check Up

We 11/14/18- Yearly Check Up Up 645am; sunny and cold; teens to about freezing. Two to four inches predicted for late tonight and tomorrow morning. Watched the next episode of 'BODYGUARD' and over half of the final chapter- Hate to cut if off before the climactic end. (Netflix) Interesting plot point- Although stringent laws like The Patriot Act would help to defeat terrorists, it would also expose organized crime- and 'the mob' might do something to stop this type of legislation. 10am- getting ready for the checkup and I'll try to arrive fifteen minutes early for the 11am appointment. Arrived on the dot, and noticed that they still had my old cell phone contact number, so I had it changed. They had the '698' as the land line. Learned that if I have the tiniest paper cut I can go in and have a free over sixty five tetanus shot. If I don't have the cut, I pay.....crazy! And, I had some blood drawn after the visit to determine if I'm still anem...

Tu 11/13/18- Olive Garden at Five

Tu 11/13/18- Olive Garden at Five Up 720am; frigid temps, mostly sunny with temps from the teens to the upper twenties all day. Wrote up NATCHEZ BURNING'for the blog. Watched 'THE GETAWAY' (Amazon Prime) Sam Peckinpah with writers, Walter Hill; screenplay and Jim Thompson; novel. Steve McQueen, Ali MacGraw, Ben Johnson, Sally Struthers, and a bunch of other stars of the sixties; music by Quincy Jones. Great bank robbery sub-plot/ 'neat con'- guy helps you put your luggage into a key locker, then palms your key and gives you another/ nifty driving sequences/ gunfights galore. Then, an episode of 'FOLLOW THIS'(from Buzz Feed; Netflix). About the new phenomenon of 'swatting'. Want to be on the machines at FitClub West by 1230pm, so that I can do a full workout and be at the Olive Garden by 5pm. When I went to FitClub West I forgot the running shoes (and this was the first time in boots), so I had to drive back home to pick them up; in the fr...

Mo 11/12/18- 'the reckoning'

Mo 11/12/18- 'the reckoning' Up 720am; raw, windy, cloudy, intermediate snow showers, but nothing sticks- low 30's. Watched 'THE SECRET SCRIPTURE' (Amazon Prime) Rooney Mara/ Vanessa Redgrave. A woman is locked up in an Irish mental institution for fifty years. The Church allowed her husband to be murdered and took her baby son. When the asylum is about to be sold and turned into a resort, she's reunited with her son- he's the therapist. Not too corny, but maybe a little too romantic. $38.93   Renaissance Parking $238.29  Fox Car Rental $350.05  Comfort Inn $297.96  Flight  $16.00   Gas Total- $941.23 Watched the penultimate episode of 'MR. ROBOT', then a long Chat Wrap; included 'the reckoning' and an invite to The Olive Garden. Then, the last 'MR. ROBOT', Season One. Another trick by Sam Esmail; after the final episode there's an interesting scene after the credits roll. Messed around with the connections on th...

Su 11/11/18

Su 11/11/18 Up 715am; twenties early, to mid 40's later with plenty of sun. Flickering issue is back, and I changed the 'personalize' format and that seems to help; not as severe as yesterday. Just In.... pressing on the connection cable seems to have taken care of the problem- not a good fix. Watched 'THE GOOD SHEPHERD' (Amazon Prime), but it was just the trailer. Switched to 'HER' (Netflix). Joaquin Phoenix/ Scarlett Johansson; Odd romance about a guy who falls in love with his operating system. Great date flic for the modern world. Then, two episodes of 'MR. ROBOT'. Learned that my book at the library is in- why didn't I get a text? (I asked the guy, and he said that I should have gotten a text and an email) 115pm; the weekly cleaning, 2pm- to the library to pick up 'PURE', and over to LA Fitness. 45" Walk ('MISSING'- was able to download the rest of this series on Xfinity- it seems unnecessarily difficult). ...

Sa 11/10/18

Sa 11/10/18 Up 715am; Frigid! low twenties early, sunny but only  just above freezing later. Watched Netflix disc, 'MR. RIGHT' (Anna Kendrick/ Sam Rockwell). Anna Kendrick's performance was truly something different- sassy, unhinged, yet charming, but the tone of the film was off. With minor adjustments, they could have made the film more believable if Francis's (Sam Rockwell) 'super abilities' were reigned in a bit, and then the wacky premise of the film would be a little easier to accept. Reading 1030am; PC on 'Sleep', and read 'NATCHEZ BURNING' for a little over an hour while listening to some Live Dave Edmunds and African stuff on a tape from Chris. Then, two more episodes of 'MR. ROBOT'. 215pm to Planet Fitness and the Wabash PO. 45" Walk (MISSING- the pilot of a BBC kidnapping saga, but you have to pay for the rest. Had I known...). 45" Recumbent Bike (NATCHEZ BURNING/ Pandora). 45" Cross (MISSING). 45...

Fr 11/9/18

Watched Netflix disc, 'SHUTTER ISLAND' (Leonardo DiCaprio/ Mark Ruffalo/ Ben Kingsley/ Michelle Williams; from a novel by Dennis Lehane..."Would you rather live as a monster, or die as a good man"? Tried to mess with the insurance for 2019 I have re-enrolled in (if you don't change anything, it remains the same) my dental and health ins. plans, and confirmed that I do not have to do anything to keep the same 2018 AON plan for next year. Received confirmation that the three  'Dental- out of pockets' to Your Spending Acct were approved. Watched two more, 'MR. ROBOT' (Amazon Prime) 2pm to Planet Fitness/ Drop disc; Grocery shopping after workout....$74 at Fairhills. 45" Walk (DESIGNATED SURVIVOR). 45" Recumbent Bike (Pandora sign-in/ NATCHEZ BURNING). 45" Cross (BOJACK HORSEMAN). 45...

Th 11/8/18

Th 11/8/18 Up 659am; Cloudy and chilly- thirties to forties. We might get the first snow of the season tonight. Watched 'FAIR GAME' (Netflix) Naomi Watts and Sean Penn deliver brilliant performances as a married couple who happen to be a diplomat and a CIA agent. There lives are shattered when they learn the true facts of how the White House lied to go to war with Iraq; 'Aluminum tubes/ yellow cake uranium/ Valarie Plame/ Joe Wilson/ Scooter Libby'. "There was no collusion" is this season's, "Weapons Of Mass Destruction". Watched 'MR. ROBOT' (Amazon Prime) Episode #2, and re-watched the last half of Episode #1. To the sangamon county election office- My name is Ken Worden and I live at 940 Westview Drive in Springfield and I voted at the VFW Post on Old Jacksonville Rd. Before I voted in Tuesday's election I went on the Internet to find out exactly who and what was going to be on the ballot in my precinct, but I couldn...

We 11/7/18

We 11/7/18 Up 730am; bright, breezy; 30's early to mid 40's. Watched 'COPYCAT' (Netflix); Sigourney Weaver/ Holly Hunter/ Dermot Mulroney. The film is set in San Francisco where a new killer is recreating famous serial killings from the past. A reclusive female expert on serial murderers helps the police and becomes a target. Then, the final episode of 'HOMECOMING'. This series owes much to director, David Lynch. 'The Homecoming' is a sinister therapeutic program developed by Geist Corporation to allow soldiers to forget their military past so that they can be re-sent to the front lines. Heidi is attracted to Walter, and can't go through with this insidious therapy. During their interactions, Heidi and Walter fantasize about traveling to the wilds of northern California, and Walter relocates and Heidi tracks him there. Although Walter's memory seems to be wiped clean, he rearranges the silverware from straight to crooked, knowing that this ...

Tu 11/6/18- ELECTION DAY; "Off to save The Republic"

Tu 11/6/18- ELECTION DAY; "Off to save The Republic" Up 7am; Gray to mostly sunny, very windy, barely to 50. Psyched for Stanley Kubrick and found 'BARRY LYNDON' on Amazon Prime. I thought I'd have to borrow from Hoopla. Watched 'BARRY LYNDON'(Amazon Prime) Over three hours, but worth every second. This is the best costume drama that I think I've ever seen. Then, two more episodes of 'HOMECOMING'- only one remains. 2pm- to the poll on Old Jacks and then to the 'Y'. Will check the situation on Fairway. On Sunday afternoon a tree limb fell and shutdown power for several hours. I saw many CWLP trucks on Sunday evening when I was returning from the workout and have been following the interesting discussion on Nextdoor Digest. 'Voter Suppression'?- Why would the VFW Post schedule some kind of lunch the same day that the site was to be used for voting? The parking lot was completely filled, and how many people just said fu...

Home to soak and listen to a David Byrne tape/ and read more from Nachez, MS. A Netflix doc about Stanley Kubrick, 'FILM WORKER'. English 60's actor, Leon Vitali gives up his acting career to work as ...

Su 11/4/18

Su 11/4/18 Up 630am (The New Time). Cloudy, chilly- to fifties and rain/ drizzle in the forecast for most of the day. Watched Netflix disc, 'TREELESS MOUNTAIN'. Two Korean sisters, one about three years old and the other about four, are foisted off by their mother- first to an alcoholic aunt, and then to their country grandparents. The director uses extreme closeups of the children's faces to create an intimate rapport with their plight. Then watched, 'Scott Walker: 30 Century Man' (Amazon Prime). The story of a mid-sixties 'boy band' crooner who evolved into a baroque and avantgarde poet of doom and gloom. This was on the 'previews' of 'TREELESS MOUNTAIN' and I notice that when you check-out a film on IMDB you can tell whether it's available on Prime. 1215pm- the weekly cleaning, and then the second episode of 'HOMECOMING' (Julia Child/ Bobby Cannavale- Amazon Prime) and re-watched the first one. 2pm to FitClub West. 45...

Steve Martin narrates as the family dog, Rags; with Diane Keaton, John Goodman, Marisa Tomei, Olivia Wilde, and Jake Lacy (the junkie comic from 'I'm Dying Up Here'). Fr 11/3/18

Fr 11/3/18 Up 630am; cloudy and damp with temps from the thirties to the low fifties. Wrote up 'THE STRANGER' by Harlan Coben for the blog. Watched 'THE LONG RIDERS' (Amazon Prime). Classic Western by Walter Hill and the 'hook' is that the Younger/ James Gang is played by actors who are brothers; Keach/ Carradine/ Quaid. Th 11/1/18- Brewer at 1120am

Th 11/1/18- Brewer at 1120am Didn't finish the film until 1am, but up 7am. Chilly and rainy all day- high 40's. Watched 'THE INFORMERS'(Amazon Prime) The film is nothing more than poorly executed 'Trash', and I'm a big fan of 'Trash'. It's based on a novel by Bret Easton Ellis, and he co-wrote the screenplay, but it completely misses the mark- lame and laughable; Billy Bob Thornton/ Kim Basinger/ Winona Ryder. 1040am- killing time; dreading chasing down Buddy with the cage. 1120am appointment at Brewer Animal Hospital.
