It only took a few minutes but it's kind of unusual.  Watched Netflix disc 'THE MANY SAINTS OF NEWARK'. A female super-assassin from a clandestine Korean 'kill korporation' finds that the assassination gig is easier than raising her fifteen year old daughter. Sub Plot: A Korean politician is caught bribing university officials so that his son can attend the school. Then he hires an assassin to murder his son and make it appear to be a suicide. Watched 'AKA' (Netflix). An emotionally troubled French cop goes undercover to infiltrate a criminal enterprise and forms an attachment with the crime boss's  family. Very brutal and excellent theatrical gunplay, and the cops are even more bloodthirsty than the villains. In the first section of the film the undercover cop attacks a terrorist cell that has kidnapped a whistleblower. He kills everyone in sight including the whistleblower. It looks as if the French have almost no protection from overreach by the authorities. Filmed in 'Isle de France'- Translate: 'The Island of France' which refers to the areas including and surrounding Paris. There have been a million of these types of films, yet this one is one of the better ones. I liked it!  Watched the last 20 minut...

Watched 'THE CABLE GUY' (Netflix).  More strange than funny since it's really about a dangerous psychopathic stalker; with Jim Carrey, Matthew Broderick, Leslie Mann, Jack Black, George Segal, Ben Stiller, Eric Roberts, Janeane Garofalo, Andy Dick, and Bob Odenkirk (he had one line). Directed by Ben Stiller.   Watched the final episode of Season #6 'BETTER CALL SAUL' (Netflix). This series was so good that each segment was almost a stand-alone short story. The series ends with Jimmy/ Saul behind bars and Kim leaving the correctional facility and it seems that a trace of their love is still alive. The weird shifts in time this season was a little too confusing. The facts of Saul's involvement with Walter White and the Mexican cartels (BREAKING BAD) were a little hazy since this was first on Netflix several years ago...

Since I'll be losing Peacock soon I decided to watch this one- 'INSIDE'.  'INSIDE' (Peacock-TV). A discerning art thief (and probably a failed artist himself) becomes trapped in a Manhattan luxury apartment while trying to steal the owner's extensive art collection. The film documents his attempts to break out of the cage that the penthouse has become. The theme is that the thief is so wrapped up in his intense feelings for Art that he has become disconnected and estranged from the human community. Recently plowed fields and the extreme winds caused near zero visibility on the interstate.  Watched 'IRRESISTIBLE' (Amazon Prime). A woman feels something is not quite right at home. Objects begin missing, she seems to forget obvious things, and someone seems to visit the house when non one should be home. She's convinced that her husband is having an affair with his sexy co-worker, but most of her friends and family think she's losing her mind. The film is a classic example of 'gaslighting' and the culprit is the young girl that she gave up at birth who happens to be hubby's co-worker. The film is disturbing in that you don't know whether to celebrate  the strengths of this twisted family or realize that their whole concept of 'family' is more than a little at fault. Another pleasant surprise and this one is a Science Fiction/ Art Film/ Thriller. Corporate scientists develop a flower that spreads a virus that affects subtle changes in humans that may or may not be real. A clever mix of 'FRANKENSTEIN' and 'INVASION OF THE BODY SNATCHERS'. Even though it appears that the 'change' has spread to the general population, it leaves you with the feeling that this might be a good thing.
